This article explains how to enable TWINT recurring payments in RaiseNow Hub, which requirements apply, and how the recurring payment flow works for supporters.
Overview
TWINT recurring payments allow supporters to set up recurring donations or payments via TWINT. This option is available for both custom Tamaro widgets and self-service Touchpoint Solutions, provided TWINT is connected to your RaiseNow Hub account.
Recurring payments via TWINT are subject to specific eligibility and product limitations, which are outlined below.

Getting started
Step 1: Connect TWINT to RaiseNow Hub
To use TWINT recurring payments, TWINT must be connected as a payment provider.
Go to Settings → Payment providers in RaiseNow Hub.
Connect TWINT as described in this article : Connect TWINT with RaiseNow Hub.
Step 2: Enable TWINT recurring payments in Touchpoint Solutions
You can enable TWINT recurring payments in Touchpoint Solutions as follows:
Create a new Touchpoint Solution or edit an existing one.
Enable TWINT as a recurring payment method.
TWINT recurring payments are available for all newly created Touchpoint Solutions except TWINT Payments.

Step 3: Enable TWINT recurring payments in Tamaro widgets
To enable TWINT recurring payments in a custom Tamaro widget, please contact our Customer Success team.
When contacting us, please make sure to include the following information:
- Name of your organisation
- Your email address
- Subject: Enable TWINT recurring
How it works for supporters
The recurring payment flow for supporters follows these steps:
The supporter opens your Touchpoint Solution or Tamaro widget (for example via PayLink, QR code, or button).

The supporter selects a recurring donation interval.

After clicking Donate or Pay, the supporter is redirected to a TWINT QR code.
The supporter scans the QR code using the TWINT app.
In the TWINT app, the supporter confirms the recurring payment by clicking Activate.
The activation is confirmed in the TWINT app.
The supporter is redirected to the confirmation page.
The recurring payment is now active.
Confirmation emails
Supporters receive:
One email confirming the subscription setup and first charge
One charge successful email for each subsequent recurring payment
These emails help ensure transparency and trust.
Multiple subscriptions per organisation
Supporters can create multiple recurring subscriptions for the same organisation.
Important details:
Each new subscription triggers a new authorisation process in the TWINT app.
Regardless of the number of subscriptions, the TWINT app shows one active authorisation per organisation.
Supporters will not see multiple separate authorisations for the same organisation in their TWINT app.

Note: Each time your supporter creates a subscription, they will be directed to their TWINT App to authorise your organisation to collect recurring payments. |
