Use on your website
Website with the same content on desktop and mobile
We recommend using a PayLink Button.
Benefits:
- Works on desktop and mobile devices
- No scanning required
- Provides the best user experience
|
Tip: Avoid displaying QR codes as the only option on mobile websites, as users cannot easily scan a QR code shown on the same device. |
Website with different desktop and mobile content
You can combine:
- A TWINT QR code for desktop visitors
- A PayLink Button for mobile visitors
This provides an optimal experience across devices.
Button design recommendations
For best visibility:
- Use dark buttons on light backgrounds
- Use light buttons on dark backgrounds
Use your own button or text link
If you cannot use the provided button assets, you may create your own button or text link.
For TWINT solutions, use one of the following labels:
- Pay with TWINT
- Donate with TWINT
Use the corresponding PayLink from your Touchpoint Solution as the destination URL.
Use in emails and newsletters
For emails and newsletters, we recommend using a PayLink Button.
Benefits:
- Clear call-to-action
- Works directly from email clients
- Optimised for mobile devices
If you create your own button or text link, use:
- Pay with TWINT
- Donate with TWINT
Link the button directly to the PayLink of your Touchpoint Solution.
Use on social media
Facebook supports direct links in posts.
You can:
- Insert the PayLink directly into the post
- Link supporters directly to the donation form
You can also share a TWINT QR code image, but include the PayLink as well to support mobile users.
|
Tip: If you do not have a website, you can add the PayLink to the Website field of your Facebook profile. |
Instagram does not allow clickable links in regular posts.
Recommended options:
- Add the PayLink to your profile bio
- Share the PayLink in Stories
- Use Story link stickers
If sharing a TWINT QR code image, always include the PayLink as an alternative.
Other social platforms
The same approach applies to platforms such as:
- X (Twitter)
- Other social networks
Use PayLinks wherever direct links are supported.
Use in messaging apps
For SMS, WhatsApp, or other messaging apps, use the PayLink directly.
Typical use cases include:
- Donation appeals
- Membership fee reminders
- Event registrations
- Campaign updates
PayLinks provide the shortest path to the payment form.
Advanced options
Personalise forms with parameters
You can make PayLinks more personal by adding parameters.
Examples include:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Donation amount
- Suggested donation amounts
This allows supporters to land on a prefilled form and complete their donation more quickly.
|
Tip: Personalised parameters work particularly well when combined with newsletter tools that support dynamic fields. |
