This article explains how to add a Paylink button to your website or email communication. The Paylink button is a donation or payment button generated from a Touchpoint Solution and links directly to your donation or payment form.
Overview
When you use a Donations or Payment Plus Touchpoint Solution, RaiseNow Hub automatically generates a Paylink button. You can embed this button on your website or in HTML-based emails to allow supporters to complete a donation or payment quickly.
The Paylink button is generated directly in RaiseNow Hub and can be used wherever HTML is supported.
How it works
Generate the Paylink button code
Open your Donations or Payment Plus Touchpoint Solution in RaiseNow Hub.
Go to the Promote tab.
Find the section Button for your website or emails.
Configure the Paylink button according to your needs (find the section below for more information).
Copy the generated code by:
Clicking the copy icon in the code panel, or
Clicking into the code block and copying it manually
Use the Paylink button on your website
Paste the copied code into the HTML source of your website page.
Place the code where you want the Paylink button to appear.
Save and publish the page.
Use the Paylink button in emails
In the button section, switch to the HTML email tab above the code panel.
Copy the HTML code provided.
Paste the code into the HTML editor of your email tool or newsletter system.
Test the Paylink button
After adding the Paylink button:
Preview the website page or send a test email.
Check that the button appears in the correct position.
Click the button to confirm it opens the correct Touchpoint Solution.
Make a test donation or payment to ensure everything works correctly.
Testing confirms that the Paylink button is correctly embedded and ready for use.
Configure the Paylink button
You can configure the Paylink button directly in RaiseNow Hub without any coding. RaiseNow Hub automatically converts your settings into the correct HTML code for use on your website or in emails.
The preview updates instantly so you can see how the button will look before copying the code.
Available configuration options
You can adjust the following settings:
Size
Choose how prominent the Paylink button should appear, for example for use on landing pages or in compact layouts.Width
Define whether the button uses a fixed width or adapts to its container.Corners
Adjust the corner radius using the slider to create sharper or more rounded edges.Colour
Set the button colour using a colour picker or by entering a HEX colour code. This allows you to match your brand colours.Icon
Select an icon to display inside the button, or remove the icon if not needed.Label
Define the button text, for example Donate now. The character counter helps ensure the label fits correctly.
All changes are reflected immediately in the preview.
Important notes about changes and languages
Please note the following behaviour when updating the Paylink button:
Changes to the Paylink button’s appearance or language are not updated automatically.
Each change generates a new code snippet.
You must copy and paste the updated code again for the changes to take effect.
A separate Paylink button code is generated for each language.
This ensures that every embedded Paylink button always reflects the exact configuration and language you selected at the time of generation.
Note: A simple workaround is to slightly modify each snippet by adding a unique number to the end of the short ID in the For example, instead of using This makes each button instance unique and allows multiple buttons to appear correctly on one landing page. |
