This article explains how to enable and configure the Progress Bar in Touchpoint Solutions. The Progress Bar visualises campaign progress in real time and helps motivate supporters to contribute towards a shared fundraising goal.
Overview
The Progress Bar is a powerful tool designed to boost engagement and enhance the success of your campaigns. By offering a clear, visual representation of campaign progress, it motivates your supporters, increases the likelihood of reaching fundraising goals, and helps charities gain valuable insights into supporter behavior. This feature benefits everyone involved — organisations and supporters — by fostering trust, urgency, and satisfaction.
With real-time progress tracking:
- organisations can better retain donors
- donors feel a greater sense of contribution
- organisations stand out in the competitive market with this highly engaging feature
How it works
Enable the Progress Bar
Create a new Touchpoint Solution or edit an existing one.
Select a solution of the type Donations or TWINT Donations.
Activate the Progress Bar toggle.
Configure the Progress Bar settings as described below.
Click Publish.
The Touchpoint Solution with the Progress Bar can now be used in your online marketing material
Configure the Progress Bar
You can customise the Progress Bar to match your campaign needs.
Fundraising goal
Define the total amount you want to reach with the campaign.
Starting point and offline donations
You can define a starting point for the Progress Bar by adding:
- Amount: Add a start amount or additional offline donations to your progress.
-
Number of donations: Add the number of offline donations or fictional donations to give your supporters some additional motivation to support your cause.
|
Tip: Usually supporters are more inclined to give if there is already some visible progress. |
Appearance
Select the style you like the most and define which information to display in your Progress Bar.
|
Important: Please note that once you activate the Progress Bar feature, the total amount of donations and the number of donations collected from that point onward will be publicly visible. If you decide to deactivate the feature later, the data collected will no longer be publicly accessible. |
Good to know:
- Only successful payments or donations will be reflected in the Progress Bar.
- If you refund a payment made for a specific campaign, this amount will be deducted from the total progress shown.
- Even once the total amount (goal) is raised, you can still continue receiving donations through this Touchpoint Solution. We recommend to in this case either increase the amount, or to deactivate the Touchpoint solution.
