This article explains how supporters can choose to cover transaction costs when donating with TWINT, how this option works, and how you can enable and track it in RaiseNow Hub.
Overview
RaiseNow offers a Cover the Fee option that allows supporters to voluntarily cover transaction costs when making a donation. This option is currently available only for the TWINT Donations Touchpoint Solution.
When enabled, supporters can decide during the donation process whether they want to cover the processing fees. If they do, your organisation receives the full donation amount.

Important: The Cover the Fee option in Touchpoint Solutions is only available for TWINT Donations. Transaction fees are calculated automatically by RaiseNow Hub. Organisations cannot define or adjust the fee amount. |
Why offer the Cover the Fee option?
Offering this option has clear benefits:
Your organisation can receive 100% of the donation amount
Many supporters are willing to cover the fees voluntarily (studies have shown a number of 75 to 80%)
The choice remains with the supporter, ensuring transparency
The fee amount is always shown clearly in the donation form and calculated automatically.
How it works
Enable Cover the Fee in a Touchpoint Solution
Log in to RaiseNow Hub.
Go to Touchpoint Solutions.
Create a new TWINT Donations Touchpoint Solution or click Edit on an existing one.
Activate Cover processing fee.
Click Update or Save → Publish form to apply the changes.
Once enabled, supporters see an option in the donation form to cover the transaction costs.
What supporters see
During the donation process:
Supporters can choose whether to cover the transaction fee
The fee amount is calculated and displayed automatically
The decision is entirely optional
How to see if a supporter covered the fee
Check a single transaction
Go to Donations & Payments in RaiseNow Hub.
Open a transaction to view the details.

Check the Fee field:
If Covered is shown, the supporter paid the transaction costs.
If nothing is shown, the fee is charged to the organisation.
The Payment amount shows what will be paid out to your bank account.
Check via data export
Information about fee coverage is not shown in weekly payout reports.
You can find it in exported transaction data:
Export transactions as CSV or XLS

TRUE→ fee covered by the supporterFALSE→ fee charged to the organisationEmpty → Cover the Fee option was not active
