This article explains how to disconnect a PayPal account from RaiseNow Hub. It also outlines the impact on your Touchpoint Solutions and what to consider before reconnecting or switching accounts.
Overview
If you want to connect a different PayPal account, you must first disconnect the existing one.
Disconnecting PayPal removes all related payment methods from your Touchpoint Solutions. Depending on your setup, this may deactivate some solutions.
To fully revoke access, you must complete both the disconnection in RaiseNow Hub and update your PayPal settings.
Key points
- You must disconnect the current PayPal account before connecting a new one
- PayPal payment methods are removed from all Touchpoint Solutions
- Some solutions may be deactivated after disconnection
- Access must also be revoked in your PayPal account
How it works
Disconnect your PayPal account in RaiseNow Hub
- Log in to RaiseNow Hub.
- Go to Settings → Payment providers.
- Select PayPal.
- Open the context menu and click Disconnect.
- Confirm the disconnection in the prompt.
Revoke access in PayPal
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Go to Settings → API Access.
- Remove or update the access permissions for RaiseNow.
|
Note: It can take up to six hours for PayPal to apply these changes. |
|
Important: Only completing both steps ensures that RaiseNow no longer has access to your PayPal account. |
Impact on Touchpoint Solutions
Disconnecting PayPal affects all Touchpoint Solutions that use PayPal payment methods:
- PayPal payment methods are removed from all affected solutions
- Solutions using only PayPal will be deactivated
- Solutions with other payment methods remain active
This only applies to PayPal accounts connected through RaiseNow Hub. External PayPal integrations are not affected.
What to do next
Reconnect PayPal or choose another provider
To continue accepting payments:
- Reconnect a PayPal account in RaiseNow Hub as described in the article Connect PayPal with RaiseNow Hub
- Or configure an alternative payment provider
After reconnecting or updating your setup, review your Touchpoint Solutions to ensure all required payment methods are available.
