This article explains how to create a TWINT QR code that opens a donation form with predefined amounts. It also outlines how personal data can be prefilled and how the QR code differs from a QR payment slip.
Overview
You can create a TWINT QR code that links directly to a donation form with predefined amount options.
This QR code:
- Opens a donation form when scanned with the TWINT app
- Uses predefined and optional custom amounts from your configuration
- Can include prefilled supporter data
- Is not a QR payment slip and cannot be scanned with a banking app
Key points
- Requires a TWINT Donations Touchpoint Solution
- Only works with the TWINT app
- Amount options are defined in the Touchpoint Solution
- Personal data can be prefilled via the QR payload
- Uses a structured QR code payload
How it works
Create a TWINT Donations Touchpoint Solution
- Log in to RaiseNow Hub.
- Go to Touchpoint solutions.
- Click Create solution.
- Select TWINT Donations.
- Configure the layout and amount options.
Define the suggested donation amounts and enable a custom amount if needed.
Configure predefined amounts
In your Touchpoint Solution:
- Set multiple predefined amounts (e.g. 20, 50, 100)
- Optionally allow a custom amount
These settings will be applied automatically when the QR code is scanned.
Create the QR code payload
- Generate the QR code payload.
- Add personal data parameters if required.
- Add the Touchpoint Solution parameters (strings).
The payload defines how the QR code behaves and what data is transferred.
Demo TWINT QR code
This example shows how the donation form and the TWINT QR code should look when enhanced with TWINT. For illustration purposes, three predefined amounts and one individual amount have been configured in the Touchpoint solution.
Scan this TWINT QR code with your TWINT app to experience the functionality live. This code cannot be scanned with a banking app.

Warning: Payments are live, please do not confirm your payment! |
Use your TWINT QR code
Once created:
- Add the QR code to your materials (e.g. print or digital)
- Share it with supporters
When scanned with the TWINT app:
- The donation form opens
- Predefined amounts are displayed
- Prefilled data is shown if included
What happens in the donation form
After scanning the QR code:
- Suggested amounts follow your configuration
- A custom amount option may be available
- Prefilled personal data is displayed
- Some fields may be non-editable
Technical details
The QR code payload:
- Follows the structure of a QR payment slip
- Excludes recipient and QR payment slip-specific fields
- Can include reference parameters for tracking

Note: The QR code cannot be scanned with a banking app. It is only supported by the TWINT app. |
