This article explains how Growth organisations can create, manage, and monitor webhooks in RaiseNow Hub. Webhooks enable real-time notifications for key events, helping organisations integrate RaiseNow data into their own systems efficiently.
What are webhooks and events?
A webhook is an automated message sent from RaiseNow Hub to a defined URL when a specific event occurs.
An event is an action or change in the system, for example:
A new donation
A successful payment
An updated subscription
Changes to supporter or organisation data
Instead of polling for updates, your system receives the information as soon as the event happens.
How it works
Access webhooks
Go to Settings in RaiseNow Hub.
Select Webhooks.
This section contains all options to create, manage, and monitor webhooks and events.
Create and manage webhooks
You can create new webhooks to subscribe to the events that matter to your organisation, including:
Transactions and payments
Subscriptions
Supporter data
Organisation-related changes
Each webhook sends event data to the URL you define.
For a complete and up-to-date list of supported events, see the Developer Documentation.
Search and filter webhooks
To manage larger setups more easily, you can search and filter existing webhooks.
Available filters include:
UUID
Webhook URL
Webhook alias
Event name
This helps you quickly find specific configurations and keep your setup organised.
View event delivery logs
RaiseNow Hub stores webhook delivery logs for the past six months.
You can use these logs to:
Verify whether events were delivered successfully
Check event status
Troubleshoot delivery issues
Event logs can be searched and filtered by:
Timestamp
Event subscription name
Webhook URL
Webhook alias
Delivery status
UUID

Important: Webhook configuration and event handling require technical knowledge. Make sure the receiving system is prepared to process incoming webhook data correctly. |
Retry failed webhook events
If a webhook event fails to deliver, you can retry it directly from RaiseNow Hub without any manual reprocessing outside the platform.
How to retry an event
- Go to Settings > Webhooks.
- Open the Responses section and locate the failed response.
- Click the Resend button in the response detail view.
What to expect
- A spinner confirms the event is being queued for resend.
- A success or error message is shown once the action completes.
- The retry attempt is logged and visible in the responses table for full traceability.
Rate limiting
To prevent abuse, retries are capped at 5 per minute. When the limit is reached, the Resend button is disabled and an explanatory message is displayed.
|
Note: Retry attempts are logged automatically. Use the responses table to track the outcome of each resend. |
