Swiss QR Pledged Donations with Salesforce

RaiseNow offers various payment methods that do not trigger an electronic payment process but rather provide the donor with instructions on how to send their donation using alternative channels. These are referred to as 'pledge type donations'. 

Starting 1 October 2022 Swiss banks will no longer support the legacy orange and pink payment slips. All options mentioned here will be replaced with the Swiss QR payment slip. 

Within the context of Salesforce, RaiseNow currently supports the following pledge type donations: 

• Swiss QR with reference number
• Swiss payment slip without reference number (discontinued)
• Swiss payment slips with reference number (discontinued)

For the Swiss QR payment slip with reference number, RaiseNow will generate the reference number independently from Salesforce. Please create a ticket with the RaiseNow support team to activate this option in your Tamaro widget. The generated reference number will be passed to Salesforce for matching payments by processing camt.054 files or initiating payment collection via Twint Solutions.

One-Off payment slip

The opportunity objects in Salesforce will slightly differ from the ones created for electronic transactions:

The StageName of the opportunity will remain pledged and the due date for the Opportunity will be set to 30 days in the future to avoid the Opportunity from being immediately reported as overdue. 

A RaiseNow transaction object will be created linking to the opportunity, but not to a payment, as none has been made yet:

A RaiseNow Payment Reference object will be created. This object will link both the opportunity and the RaiseNow transaction. This object serves to identify the correct opportunity when a payment with the corresponding payment reference is provided in a Camt.054 file. 

 Recurring donation with payment slip

RaiseNow will create the following objects in Salesforce:

• Contact
• Recurring donation
• RaiseNow subscription
• RaiseNow payment reference 

Creating the recurring donation in Salesforce will trigger opportunities to be created by NPC & NPSP.  In contrast to actual payment transactions, the opportunity will retain the StageName: Pledged

The payment reference object will store the generated payment reference. This object will be used when RaiseNow processes a Camt.054 file to match payments to the NPC & NPSP recurring donation.
