In this article, you will learn where your PayPal donations are stored and how to transfer them to your organization's bank account.
You may have noticed that donations made via PayPal do not automatically appear in your bank account. They are visible in the RaiseNow Manager or RaiseNow Hub, but the funds are credited directly to your dedicated PayPal Business account. This account functions as an independent online account.
To access these funds, you can manually transfer them to your regular bank account at any time. Follow these step-by-step instructions based on the official PayPal Help Center Guide on Manual Transfers:
- Log in to your account at paypal.com.
- Go to your Dashboard or click on Wallet.
- Click on Transfer Money.
- Select Transfer to your bank account.
- Choose your preferred bank account from the list.
- Enter the amount and click Next.
- Review the details and click Transfer Now.
Set Up Automatic Transfers
To save time, you can also configure PayPal to automatically move your donation balance to your bank account on a regular schedule. According to the PayPal Help Center Guide on Automatic Transfers, you can set this up as follows:
- Go to your Wallet.
- Click on More Actions.
- Select Setup automatic transfers.
- Choose the linked bank account, frequency (e.g., daily or weekly), and the minimum balance you wish to keep in your PayPal account.
- Click Save.
