To use QR payment slips in RaiseNow Hub, your organisation must provide a QR-IBAN. This applies both to existing customers migrating from the previous system and to new customers setting up their donation or payment forms in Hub.
Without a valid QR-IBAN, it is not possible to issue QR payment slips via RaiseNow Hub.
What is a QR-IBAN?
A QR-IBAN is a specific type of bank account number used in Switzerland for QR payment slips. It looks almost identical to a regular IBAN but includes a small structural difference that enables the use of reference numbers – which are essential for automatic payment reconciliation.
Simple rule:
A QR-IBAN in Switzerland always has the digit 3 in the 5th position.
📌 Example: CH44 3000 5006 7890 1234 5
When a payment is initiated using a QR-IBAN, the payer’s bank automatically checks for a valid reference number. This ensures that every payment made to your organisation includes a structured and usable reference – improving reconciliation and reducing administrative work.
Why is it required for the migration?
As part of the migration to RaiseNow Hub, your existing QR payment slips must be reconfigured within the new environment. To do this, we need the correct QR-IBAN linked to your organisation. If we don’t receive a valid QR-IBAN, your QR payment slips cannot be transferred to RaiseNow Hub.
➡️ Please note: This step is essential to maintain the functionality of your QR slips and ensure smooth processing going forward.
Where can I find my organisation’s QR-IBAN?
If you're unsure about your QR-IBAN, we recommend contacting your bank directly. Most Swiss banks provide QR-IBANs upon request, especially for accounts used with QR payment slips.
