If the donor's credit card has expired, or the donated amount cannot be paid for any reason (i.e. the account limit is reached, there are insufficient funds etc.), the system will send an email to the donor reporting the situation. A link is included with which the donor can change their subscription or add a new card.
The email (which is found in the Excel file under "Error load recurring donation") is triggered after an unsuccessful attempt. The organisation receives a copy of this email via Webhook and a bcc'd email. RaiseNow does not recognise that the card has expired, but access to the RaiseNow Manager will allow you to see when the credit card expires and, if possible, personally contact the donor, even if subsequent donations are not forthcoming.
